about my work

Although my work has changed since I made my first quilt, one thing has remained constant since the 1970's: I work improvisationally. Whether I'm printing cloth or slicing and sewing, I experiment and let serendipity take its course. I throw my pieces at the wall, see what sticks, and design as I go.  Nothing in my gallery has been planned ahead and the result is always a surprise!
