It's been a long winter...
For me and undoubtedly, for you. I have been busy 24/7 working on my online class. Making videos is not for the faint of heart. It takes at least four hours of setup, filming (more than once), and finally - editing - for a 10 minute segment. Plus still photos and written material. So I've had my head down, too busy to do anything else. BUT - getting there!
Happily, I will be teaching on Creative Spark - C&T's new online learning platform. I've had to learn patience (as well as videography - ha ha).

I'm very excited that I will be teaching on Creative Spark - C&T's new online learning platform. I've had to learn patience (as well as videography - ha ha). Things are in process and I'll post when the class goes live.
Meanwhile, back in the studio...the usual chaos as I was trying to accomplish something (don't ask me what because I can't remember:-).

It couldn't have been an attempt to organize my scraps because that would kill all creativity, surprise, and the unexpected color combinations that make magic. Years ago I tried organizing my fabrics by color and I was so bored I couldn't stand it. The bin below is a good example of how you can create interesting combinations by just picking and not thinking too much. Amazing how things work together when you are not trying.

I will be back in the studio tomorrow, sewing (if I am lucky) and making a video - or at least starting to do so. Meantime, it is well after midnight here on the east coast and I had better get some sleep so I can be camera-ready tomorrow.
At home, things are looking up, especially for those of us who have been vaccinated. We're still wearing our masks but at least feel a bit easier about going out. Had dinner out with my friend Bev last weekend for the first time in a year. Sat outside and had a fabulous meal. Felt so good to be out!
Earlier this week Phil and I finally went to Happy Hour in downtown West Palm Beach and sat outside in the balmy weather. Pure joy!

On that note, I'll call it a night so I can be camera-ready tomorrow when I am in the studio.
I hope you're staying healthy and are getting your vaccinations. Leave a comment and tell me whether you have returned a bit to a few outside activities you have missed. (like having someone else cook and serve a meal for you or going to the mall).
Cheers,
R.
